STREAM

STREAM is our acronym for “Short Term Response in Evangelism And Mission”. Every year, we take teams to work locally and with our partners overseas. We have regularly taken teams out to Spain and Portugal in the past years. There is a possibility that we may take a team to encourage our brothers and sisters in India too, and be encouraged in return.

If you are wondering what to do for a meaningful vacation, why not join us for one of these exciting projects? You will grow in your faith even as you practise sharing the gospel and discover a new culture. Each of the projects are different in scope and experience, do find out which would be most suited to you.

Teams:

1. Portugal, 7 to 14 May 2011

A team of eight went to Fatima in 2010 led by Dave Bennett. This was our seventh team mission to Portugal. In 2009 a team of four had an amazing time winessing to the pilgrims. In 2008 eight of us went to Fatima. In 2006 a team of 9 from all over the UK went to Fatima. We flew into Lisbon and drove there. Some have been to Fatima before while for others, it was their first time. We worked together with a team from some churches in Lisbon to witness to the people there. Thousands of pilgrims visit the shrine there each year. We had many conversations and most were very grateful to accept a John’s gospel from us. We carried with us gospels in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Please pray that people’s hearts will be changed as they read God’s word.

“I was surprised at how people were so open and have never heard the gospel before. People really need Jesus! Now I know that it is possible for me to share the gospel with others and hope to do so with my friends and family.” Cynthia

2. Beechwood, Wirral, September 10 to 19 2010
Following on from a weeks in Sept 08 and 09 we have been invited to work again with Beechwood Chapel in outreach to this housing estate. We will be doing door to door and helping with services and events - including a family fun day. Volinteers must be over 18 but there is no uper age limit.
