Q. Are you called Bridge Builders or Pocket Testament League? A. Both! But to be precise,Bridge-Builders is the business name of The Pocket Testament League Ltd, a company limited by guarantee, registered in England no. 1461289. Reg. address: 32 Edenpark Rd, Birkenhead CH42 9JP. Reg. charity no: 281910. We adopted the name Bridge Builders in January 2004 to reflect our desire to help Christians build bridges to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our friends and family who have yet to know Jesus. Therefore, our mission statement is “enabling Christians to share their faith one-to-one.” Go to About Us / History to read more details. We are managed by a Board of Directors and are members of the Evangelical Alliance. Q. How can you give gospels away for FREE? A. Bridge Builders have depended on donations and legacies to help Christians just like you to share the gospel for over 110 years. We pray that God will continue to provide resources to cover the cost of what we do, including the cost of printing gospels, making it possible for us to keep giving away gospels. Therefore, joining Bridge Builders is completely free! And there is absolutely no charge for the gospels themselves. Our ministry and ability to provide free gospels is made possible by gifts from individuals, churches, trusts and legacies. However, there is no obligation to give.
Q. How many gospels can I order? A. You are encouraged to build a lifestyle of personal evangelism. For most people, this means putting one gospel in your pocket each morning and looking for opportunities to build bridges. In your many conversations during the day, you may find that God helps you discern when it is appropriate to explain your faith and recommend the reading of a gospel to a relative, friend or colleague. A new member receives an introduction pack containing two free gospels. If you contact us when you have given these two away we will send two more free gospels. We will continue to do this as long as you keep coming back. If you would like more than two gospels we can send these to you but we would appreciate a donation to cover the cost. Q. Can we have a large number of Gospels for our outreach? A.Yes many Churches and organisations use our gospels. We are unable to sell the gospels because of copyright restrictions but we would appreciate help in covering the cost of bulk orders. We therefore suggest a donation of £5.50 for 10, £12.50 for 25, £24 for 50, £42 for 100, £90 for 250, £170 for 500, £320 for 1000. Phone 0151 609 0144 and discuss your needs with us.

No. Our gospels are provided free of charge and cannot be sold. Our licensing agreement does not allow these gospels to be sold at any time. A. We currently provide John’s gospel in the New International Version (NIV), also known as “Love is the Bridge” and Mark's Gospel in the New Living Translation (NLT), also know as "The Key to Life". Through ordinary people just like you, God has led hundreds of thousands of people to Christ. Remember, the battle belongs to God. Bridge Builders is here to help you. You may be amazed at how God uses your life and situation to help further His kingdom. Read some of the true member stories featured to see examples. Q. Do I need special training? A. No special training is needed. God provides the opportunity to “practise”, giving you “on the job” training. Bridge Builders comes alongside you to act as a support network through prayer, guidance and free materials. However, you could invest in training if you would like to improve the way in which you engage with others, how you explain your faith or even being alert to the opportunities that God provides.
