Something New

Last Christmas I had this amazing opportunity to share my faith but somehow it did not seem appropriate to give a Gospel of John or Mark.  I wanted to encourage my friend to read the story of Christmas.

So I’ve put together a new resource for you to give to people this Christmas.  It is the story of Christmas taken from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. This is a brilliant story because it tells of the coming of the Saviour needed by everyone.

Our Church is already planning to give this booklet away during our annual evening of carol singing around the neighbourhood.  We usually knock to wish people a Happy Christmas and we always leave a small gift.  This year with the booklet we are giving sachets of drinking chocolate.  We will include a note suggesting people relax with a chocolate drink and read ‘The story of Christmas.’

How about encouraging your Church to give this booklet away at Christmas events and services this year.

My friend Chris Duffett, founder of the Light Project, came up with an amazing idea for your Christmas outreach. 108 Churches took part last year in ‘Get in the picture’.  Members of the public were encouraged to pose for their photograph as part of the cast of the Christmas Story.
